Current Work

I am currently engaged in a year-long project creating a drawing a day.  Each work is 8”x 8” and drawn with graded graphite pencils.  My first goal has been to establish a daily practice. The second goal has been to reconnect with drawing, explore tonal variations, and become more sensitive to pressure and line quality.  Lastly, I want to play with subject matter and composition without restrictions.  I can envision having this project becoming an ongoing venture with a year devoted to just pen and ink, or maybe colored pencils or even gouache.  This full-year commitment helps me to observe how I work, what captures my attention and opens up so many possibilities.
